apostrophe in poetry

When the waves crash down

Nothing can block out the sound

In a cabin near the water

The child of your daughter

Misses you everyday

Wishing you were here to show her the way

O Joe,

I wish you didn’t have to go

O Joe, if you ask me if im ok

The answer will always be no

Why couldn’t you stay

O Joe, to you I pray

I know you can’t be here

But please guid me through the day

And let me feel that you are near

In a cabin near the water

The child of your daughter

Misses you everyday

Wishing you were here to show her the way
